Stanlow Lodge 6257 yet again hosted their annual halloween event, which ended up yet again fully booked, the tickets included fish & chips for the adults, and chicken nuggets & chips for the children, all in all over 100 guests were in the hall, members of the lodge had been in to decorate earlier in the day to give a spooky feeling throughout.
Bob’s disco had a lively character, and encouraged (possibly assisted with a glass or two of wine…) many people to get up and enjoy themselves on the dancefloor, games were played throughout the evening with two team captains generously giving their time (and dignity) much to the enjoyment of, well, everyone else.
An effort was made by everyone who turned up with a whole host of goodies – freshly baked cakes, pumpkin competitions, what’s in the box & fancy dress costumes were just a drop in the ocean of the fun on the night.
The evening of course had the spooky sweet shop which once again proved a hit with the children (and we’re sure some of the grown-ups had been in too!). Sponsors for the sweets this year were Ellesmere Port Engineering and PandR Computing – which were gratefully received.
Thanks were given to everyone who assisted, with special thanks to WBro Peter Kellett & his wife Lorraine for the amazing effort put in during, before and after the event – WBro Peter Kellett ran the evening (a job, most fitting given that he is the lodge DC!)
